To celebrate six decades of preserving Saskatchewan's rich sporting legacy, the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame presents Played Here: 60 Years of Saskatchewan Sport. This special anniversary exhibition explores the people, moments, and milestones that shaped sport in Saskatchewan and helped define communities across the province. Beginning with the Hall's founding in 1966, the exhibition traces the evolution of sport from the early 1900's to today through artifacts, archival photographs, interactive features, and stories of selected inductees whose achievements reflect Saskatchewan's enduring values of perseverance, pride, and community spirit. Visitors will discover not only remarkable athletic accomplishments, but also the Hall's own journey of survival and growth, from its early years as the Molson Sports Hall of Fame to becoming one of the province's leading stewards of sport heritage. Honoring more than 561 inductees from 54 sports and over 150 communities, Played Here celebrates the hometown heroes who inspired generations on local rinks, ball diamonds, tracks, courts, and fields. Their stories reveal how sport has shaped Saskatchewan's cultural identity, connected communities, and reflected the province's ongoing growth and progress. Through timelines, immersive displays, and personal stories, Played Here: 60 Years of Saskatchewan Sport invites visitors to reflect on the power of sport to unite, inspire, and preserve shared memory across generations.
